I'm new to FusionPBX but have used VoIP for many years and worked my way from Asterisk, then FreePBX and then in about 2008 to FreeSWITCH.
In 2010 I launched a system with a Ruby on Rails front end and FreeSWITCH back end that sends recorded voice messages, email and SMS at specified dates and times. The messages can be recorded using the subscriber's phone or can be uploaded.
It worked well and we tested it with batches of 5,000 calls with no problems. But other factors intervened and I never took it to market.
Now I'm rebooting that effort and expanding its capabilities and need a PBX, so rather than configure FreeSWITCH manually I thought I'd try FusionPBX as it looks quite feature complete.
I hope knowing a bit of what's under the hood doesn't make it too difficult to understand the GUI and hope to learn from you guys.
