SOLVED Contacts does not allow editing (no pencil icon)

I created a CONTACT but after I save it (according to fpbx docs) there is no pencil icon to edit so that I can add the actual phone number to the contact. Am I missing something? see attached

Check to see if the user you are logging in as has the permissions to edit contacts. As a quick test just make yourself super admin and test.

What version of Fusion are you using? Also go into Advanced -> Group Manager and click permission on the superadmin group and make sure all the permissions are checked under "contacts"

There were several areas in permissions that were not checked, but not pertaining to contacts. I checked them all, saved, logged out then back in and still no luck. As superadmin I have no option to edit a contact so that I can add a phone number

my version 4.5.10 has no edit icon.

I can add a new contact as superadmin, then just click on the contact type, organisation or name to edit it.

all the permissions are checked under "contacts".

I can click on type, organization and get to the screen you see attached. But once I am on that screen there is no way to add a phone number. When you create the contact there is no option on initial set up to add a phone number (which I find odd) but the docs say to create it then edit it to add phone numbers. But as you see by the attached screen shot there is no place to edit or add a phone number

I created 2 users but there is no option to add phone numbers when you create the contact.

As per attachment I get the plus icon to the right of the fields to then edit the contact further.

I see you have a "timer" field so maybe the different version has some changes ?

Looks like a bug. Maybe try the stable branch and submit a bug for this issue.

I submitted a bug ticket and they solved the issue. There is no bug. They just changed how to edit a contact but have not updated docs yet.

click on a contact
Click ADD at the top (this will open a drop down
