If you allow users to upload recordings, as we did, you may want to re-think it. We had a new customer who decided to record his greetings and upload. We gave him instructions on format and he began doing so. No problem. He began testing. All was well for a few days. Then he decided to get fancy and thought he would mix in some background music to his greetings. Unfortunately, the BGM was Dolby 5.1 audio. This turned his mono wav files into 6-channel files. Apparently FS doesn't like 6-channel audio. Like A LOT! I got this message
If there is a silver lining, this is easy to recreate--our customer was able to do it again before we figured out exactly what the problem was and took his phone number/files offline and disabled user recording upload.
switch_core_file.c:360 File has 6 channels, muxing to 1 channel will occur
and then a message that it finished playing the file and then it crashed the Freeswitch service.
