IVR recording

Issue:

I uploaded a .wav file into a recordings, and played back crystal clear sound. However, when I chose the same file for the IVR greeting message, the audio quality was terrible, with cracking sounds and low volume.

Are there any settings I need to adjust in the IVR?

There isn't any settings that can be changed in the IVR but if the greeting is recorded elsewhere and uploaded, there are a few things you can do to ensure good playback via the IVR.

If the WAV file isn't already in the correct format, use Audacity or your favorite audio editing software to resample and save an 16bit PCM ,Mono with 8000hz sampling. If levels are still too high or low, then you can adjust levels but usually the proper sampling and mono track will get it close enough.
