Hi All,
I have experience with Nortel PBX and Comdial (pseudo)PBX and have also set-up a 3CX then Asterisk/FreePBX for home use. I have heard good things about FusionPBX and wanted to give it a spin, again for home use. for my Asterisk config I am using Analog PSTN, GV via Obihai devices and SIP trunking from Bulkvs. I also have an Avaya 9611 and 9641 using SIP and Panasonic TGP-600 system. This far, I am able to register a softphone and a line on the TGP600 to FusionPBX- can make calls to/from one another and to system resources (i.e. clock). I have added BulkVS as a gateway and it shows "REGED". I created an Outbound route for BulkVS for Toll free numbers (I use a few different ANI Verification numbers for testing). When I dial ANY 800 number, I get a fast busy. I'm wondering if I missed a step, as it doesn't seem to be making an attempt to hit BulkVS. I've attached logs from my latest test call.

I would truly appreciate it if someone could help point me in the right direction.

The problem may be with your inbound route (destination), from what I can see the inbound number is not being matched hence you get a 480.
Code:
dd8a3c93-a4e8-4b16-879a-8a62cb1067c4 Dialplan: sofia/internal/340@172.16.3.10 parsing [172.16.3.10->BulkVS.91800445566778829d6] continue=false
dd8a3c93-a4e8-4b16-879a-8a62cb1067c4 Dialplan: sofia/internal/340@172.16.3.10 Regex (PASS) [BulkVS.91800445566778829d6] ${user_exists}(false) =~ /false/ break=on-false
dd8a3c93-a4e8-4b16-879a-8a62cb1067c4 Dialplan: sofia/internal/340@172.16.3.10 Regex (FAIL) [BulkVS.91800445566778829d6] destination_number(18004444444) =~ /^9(\+?1)?(8(00|44|55|66|77|88)[2-9]\d{6})$/ break=on-false

It appears you have created an outbound route that requires a prefix of 9 which is then stripped off.

Thank you both @DigitalDaz and @Adrian Fretwell.

I originally created two outbound routes - one with a 9 prefix and one without. To simplify troubleshooting, I deleted both and recreate one route for toll Free using the dial plan match pattern as ^1?(8(00|33|44|55|66|77|88)[2-9]\d{6})$. and added "1" as the outbound prefix (my BulkVS account is configured for 11 digits)

This helped. I now see the call being sent to BulkVS and am getting the following:

1fd0acaa-d8de-4a48-b209-494735235db8 2020-12-08 13:30:25.883805 [NOTICE] sofia.c:8559 Hangup sofia/external/18004444444 [CS_CONSUME_MEDIA] [CALL_REJECTED]

I am assuming this is now a config mis-match between my system and BulkVS, and have submitted a ticket with them. If anyone suspects something else, please let me know...

Thanks again for the help! I hope in a few months when I get everything rolling I can "Pay it forward".

As an update - BulkVS confirmed it was a configuration setting - our registration timer was set too high and the reg was expiring.

Hey @hol9798! I am trying to set things up with BulkVS as awell. After getting my IP whitelisted, I was able to get the gateway registered. When I make an inbound or outbound call, I get the same busy tone. If you don't mind, I have a few questions on the setup.

Is the below timing configuration for the gateway correct?
Are you using SMS?

Edit: Inbound is now working.

Inbound doesn't need a gateway and no, that timer is way to low, push it up to 120 at least, currently that expire 25 is going to have your gateway reregistering about every 12-30 seconds.

Thank you. I increased that limit to 120. The reason I had 25 was my understanding from the image below.
I did get inbound running. Till I get everything functioning, I want to keep things basic and slowly expand it into queues, IVRs, time conditions, etc.
I resolved the outbound thanks to 480 Temporarily Unavailable | FusionPBX Forums. It seems I am up and running in terms of voice!

Maybe it should be set to that, that is a ridiculously low timer though, I have never seen one so low, nor can I fathom any reason for needing it. I';d say leave it at 120 if it works.

Do they have any similar documentation for how you should send outbound traffic. In particular, the format for dialling, whether they want, rpid or pid etc.

Oddly enough, when I changed it to 120, outbound (not internal) calls would drop after 10/11 seconds of being connected. I switched it back and was able to get a call to last longer (after 40 seconds I hung up) and then it returned to dropping the calls.

I followed Outbound calls drop ACK not received | FusionPBX Forums (except for external IP addresses) and then reverted the changes because I got a 488 error. Somehow it works, I'll accept it.
