Problems with Users, Group and Menu manager.

Hi all,
I am attempting to create a uer with a group that permits access to certain menu items.
When I added the new user to the default group "user" it worked as intended, although the CDR stats page gave an "access denied".
Anyway, I then created a new group "standard_user" that restricts access more than the default, while still allowing the menu access to things such as registrations.
When I tried to log in with this account there were no menu items on display, just an empty call routing table. I could not log out of the user.
To start over I then deleted the user, however, I am still able to log in as the user, I have fluched the cache but it still logs in as this account.
I am very confused, any help would be much appreciated.

Have a look in Advanced->Menu manager. You will see that every menu item including the parent levels have a group permission associated with them. Depending on what other groups you assign to your user, you may need to add "standard_user" to the permissions in the menu. Look at the Groups column in the screenshot below:
