Voicemail problems

Hi Guys,

Hope someone can point me in the right direction.

Ive recently found a problem where voicemail messages are not playing when you dial *97 and go through the prompts. Tells you to press 1 to listen, which I then do. The prompt continues by giving the time, date and number. Thereafter message should play. Only goes to the prompt again telling you to press 1 to listen, etc.

I am not 100% on how to trace the sessions to see whats happening.

Any help would be great.

At the linux command prompt try fs_cli and look at the log that way.

There should also be a log at:

/var/log/freeswitch/freeswitch.log

Thanks for the info.

I actually did that. It does show when the voicemail kicks in. It only shows the prompts that play and nothing wrt the actual message that was left.

I would have suspected that it would give you some indication of the actual weirdCHars.wav file that the voice message was stored as but nothing as far as I can tell.

Pastebin a log, there should be some error.

Only goes to the prompt again telling you to press 1 to listen, etc.

I've seen this behavior with corrupted messages.
Delete the offending message and VM works fine again.
