provision Polycom template 3.x

hi

i have a fresh install of fusion pbx and i dont see the the polycom 3.x template

any idea why?

i do see it in the git hub

i have the polycom 501 phones they still need the 3.1.x

You will need to enter the provision editor from the GUI, create a folder under Polycom for 3.x, then create a file under your new 3.x folder called "{$mac}.cfg" and copy and paste the content from the config file at Github into your newly created template file: https://github.com/fusionpbx/fusionpbx/blob/master/resources/templates/provision/polycom/3.x/{$mac}.cfg

I had to do this same process for the Grandstream GXP 16xx model template.

i did that but when i load the phone i am still getting an error

error saving application

When and where are you seeing this error? If you want help, you should be specific as to what your problem is.

If your provisioning is set up correctly and your config file is available, you should be able to browse to http://YOUR_FQDN.com/provision/cfgYOURMACADDRESS.xml and be able to see your XML config file

i can browse to the file and see it

on the Ploycom IP501 i am getting the above error and the phone just reboots!

from a quick google i was told that this is due to the wrong template but after i installed the 3.x i am still having the same error on the phone

Sounds like your config file is set up and working on the back end then.

Is your phone pointed to the server correctly? http://YOURFQDN.com/provision

I'm not much help when it comes to Polycom's so I'll let someone else chime in there!
