Check out comment number 19. Also, please note that I switched to Grandstream phones. More intuitive, although nothing is perfect.

Thanks for that. Much appreciated. (The second link had a cloudflare error.)

    Iptables Port Settings

Is anyone familiar with the reasons for the various port settings needing to be opened in iptables? Here are the ones that are recommended: udp 1194 udp 16384:32768 ----------------------------------------------- By the way, regarding incoming, port 22 is not needed if not remotely connecting...

    Define Normal Dial Plan

I appreciate your sense of humor. We all got a laugh out of that. If you had been serious, your statement was contradicted by #6 above.

    Define Normal Dial Plan

Do you seriously not understand how to give clear and helpful information without questioning the OP?

    Define Normal Dial Plan

I did a search and could not find a page entitled "normal dial plan". I thought maybe you meant something else. So going back to the page Inbound Routes, you will see that the reference is as opposed to the inbound route dial plan. With that said, why must a person create an inbound route...

    Define Normal Dial Plan

Does anyone know where to configure the "normal dial plan", or see its settings, as mentioned in Inbound Routes?

    Small hardware for FusionPBX

My performance is more that acceptable for few phones and numbers. I am using the Model 3 B+, revision 1.3. I have not tried to stress test it to see how many concurrent lines it can handle, but it is designed for a desktop environment, so this use should be fairly light for it. The newer...

inbound and internal works. But how on earth should i configure outbound.

Thank you very much for the explanation. It is refreshing to see such a well explained situation. It also gives us a view into the many possibilities others may face. Realizing the limitations of one person's authority to make needed changes, sometimes working thru the issue by steps is the...

inbound and internal works. But how on earth should i configure outbound.

Thank you for that. My mistake appears to be that when I noticed that the OP referenced Fusion, I did not assume manual configuration of FS. I should have also noted that the OP was communicating with another PBX instead of the provider. These things would make a difference. @JoakimU , I'm...

inbound and internal works. But how on earth should i configure outbound.

@ad5ou , please provide references. How does a person setup a connection with a SIP trunk provider if not using the FusionPBX Gateway configuration?

inbound and internal works. But how on earth should i configure outbound.

@Adrian Fretwell , Are you saying that a pbx does not need a gateway to make calls?

inbound and internal works. But how on earth should i configure outbound.

Please keep in mind that FusionPBX is a web interface for FreeSWITCH. Also, after your fresh install, keep in mind that there are a lot of defaults in the configuration which you may want to stick with. My recommendation is to start with the basic settings before you change them. Your gateway...
