Extended delay between channel creation and ringing

Finally find out the issue causing this delays. The STUN server that some of our clients used are out of action, and this caused the delays. Once we tell the clients to switch to another STUN server, it works perfectly fine again.

Extended delay between channel creation and ringing

In the past few days, the problem starts to surface. When a call comes in or goes out, I saw a notice on "New channel", but it will be about 10 seconds later when I can see the "Ring-Ready". I tried to do traceroute and ping, all seems to be fine, within 50ms. Would anyone be able to shed...

    Superuser required for PostgreSQL

I am going to install the fusionPBX on a new box with the database on a separate box. When I run through the install.sh, I found that it give the ID fusionpbx and freeswitch both SUPERUSER privileges. I am wondering whether that is required, any advise would be much appreciated. Regards Jim

Voice quality problem on the simultaneous second call

The Telstra mapped profile option and the G729 codec option seems to be most attractive. Does Telstra entertain such requests normally?

Voice quality problem on the simultaneous second call

The fusion is NOT in the LAN, but on the cloud.

Voice quality problem on the simultaneous second call

Oh, another question. If I have set all the packet to DSCP 0, Telstra should not be able to differentiate between them, and in that case my VoIP traffic should be fine?? So in that case, it probably means that I have NOT set all packets to DSCP 0. But that should not be right, as I have already...

Voice quality problem on the simultaneous second call

That's really bad. Do you know whether other NBN reseller have such restrictions? For example, Optus/TPG/iiNet or whoever. And then it seems for the moment I have to try to use a codec with a lower bandwidth requirement.

Voice quality problem on the simultaneous second call

Hey EasyBB Just have a more detailed look at your script and the message, it only tests DSCP based routing, NOT bandwidth allocation. Assuming you are correct that Telstra is rate limiting on the DSCP value, the ping will work fine. Problem only arise when the bandwidth utilisation exceeds the...

Voice quality problem on the simultaneous second call

Just tried the following: The script return all passed, so that seems to be ok. I have tried both from an internal box to my Fusion PBX in the cloud, and from my cloud PBX to faktortel's asterisk box, all replied passed. To be doubly certain, I have go into all of my Yealink phones and set...

Voice quality problem on the simultaneous second call

You are serious??? I think I have set the DSCP to be on best effort instead of expedited. Anyway, I am using a Draytek Vigor 2860ac.

Voice quality problem on the simultaneous second call

Thanks for your offer. To answer your question, we are in Australia, using Telstra with a NBN connection with speed of 100Mbit down and 40Mbit up. We are connecting to our own Fusion PBX and our VoIP providers are Faktortel and Siptalk. Regards

Voice quality problem on the simultaneous second call

The local end is on ALAW, the PBX is on ALAW as well as the VoIP provider. We have tried the remote end either using both PSTN line and mobile phone. It has the same result. The first call went thru ok, the second simultaneous call got crackling and lost packets.

Voice quality problem on the simultaneous second call

Hi Everyone, I got a weird voice quality problem as mentioned above: Situation: - When a call is made/received - if it is the first call on the site - everyone works perfectly - great voice quality - If at the same time, someone make another call from another extension - the voice quality...

    Inter Tenant Dialing

To ascertain the UUID, login to FusionPBX, under "Administration" - "Adminer", then on the left column, look for "v_domains", click on it. Then on the right side, click on "select data", and you will see a list of all domains, with domain_name and domain_uuid. Regards

    Inter Tenant Dialing

I just go thru the motion of setting up an outgoing route, and then go in there and change it to my needs. Please see the screen capture attached for the entire route, obviously I had removed the domain_name and domain_uuid fields. Cheers

Fusion PBX/Freeswitch works with Postgresql BDR unmodified?

Hi We are currently running FusionPBX 4.1 with Postgresql on a single server that was installed using the fusionpbx script last year. We are thinking of doing several things: - Upgrading to FusionPBX 4.2 - Separating the Postgresql into its own server - Have a Postgresql cluster using BDR...

    Inter Tenant Dialing

Hi, I just do a similar thing for some tenants. To do inter-domain dialling, I do the following in an outgoing route: 1. use a prefix like in the destination number: ^\*64\*(\d{3})$ <- I am using *64* as the prefix, and we are using 3 digit extensions 2. The other normal call setup like...

    Hello from Downunder

Hi Greetings from down-under! Love the atmosphere and lifestyle here. I have worked with VoIP with Asterisk/FreePBX for about 8 years, and have recently switched over to Fusion PBX/Freeswitch for the easy configuration of multi-tenants. Currently running version 4.1.0 and am worried about...
