I'm sure I am missing something very simple. I can't seem to get 7 digit dialing to work.

How do I add an outbound route for 7 digit dial but I need to prepend the area code? Everything I have tried doesn't work. I have 10 and 11 digit dialing working without issue. Most of the posts I have read are out dated it seems or it doesn't work the way they have described.

Can't see your problem, its very easy just put in your prefix where I have put the 1111:7local.jpg

That’s the thing. Your screenshot doesn’t look like mine. When I go to Outbound I believe I only have the advanced version maybe. I can see all the expressions/etc and not a simple form. Is there another place I should go? I’m going to Dial Plan -> Outbound Routes from the main menu.

Below is what I have.

That looks like a mobile version rather than desktop, regardless, just find the bridge dowmn at the bottom and put the prefix before $1

That was a mobile screenshot but it’s the same on mobile or desktop. I had tried adding the prefix as you mentioned but didn’t work. So I thought I could be doing it wrong. Is there something I have to do to make the settings live?

So I feel dumb here but it looks like it might have been an issue with the Grandstream settings and not what Inwas doing with the PBX. I’ve tested from a couple softphones and the settings I had from the start work perfectly.

On a similar note, how do you reference a domain variable/setting? What if it is a custom variable? Does that even work? Example would be setting the default area code at he domain level and not the system level.

Can you let me know which version of FusionPBX you are using? Still wondering why I only have access to the advanced Outbound Routes and not the interface you have. I'm on the latest version.

You only get that when you initially create the outbound route. When you edit it, you get like yours.

Ok. That makes complete sense. My routes were initially created automatically using the provider option. So I never saw that function. Once again feel a bit dumb but all part of the learning curve. Thank you again for all the help!
