Hi,
Here's my setup:
I have FusionPBX running on Debian on a VM hosted on a Mac via VirtualBox.
The Mac mini is connected to the Internet via wifi. The phone (Yealink SIP-T26P) is connected to the router via ethernet.
The VM's network adapter is setup as Bridged Adapter, with Promiscuous Mode set to Allow All.
The VM is given 1Gb of RAM.
It all seems to be working well:
The phone can register the account, and I can make and receive calls.
However, incoming calls consistently drop after around 30 seconds.
Outgoing calls are fine, I have been calling my cell from the system for more than a minute. But incoming calls (people calling the system) always drop after 20-40 seconds.
I read that this is a known issue when using NAT but as far as I know I am not using NAT.
I also read about codec issues but I have no idea how to go about investigating and fixing that (and why would outgoing calls work then?).
Can you please let me know what are the first steps to take to identify and fix the issue?
Thanks in advance!
