Introducing the New FS PBX Fax Queue

We’re excited to introduce the new FS PBX fax queue, a major improvement to how outbound faxing is handled in FS PBX.

With this update, we moved away from the old FusionPBX fax queue. While it worked for basic fax processing, it did not properly handle recovery when fax calls unexpectedly ended, failed mid-process, or became stuck. The new FS PBX fax queue was built to be much more reliable and includes a self-healing mechanism to detect and recover from these situations automatically.

We’ve also redesigned the Fax Logs page to provide clearer and more useful troubleshooting information. Logs now include improved To and From details, along with additional fax-related information that makes it easier to diagnose delivery issues, routing problems, provider responses, and call behavior.

This is a great addition to the email-to-fax features we introduced earlier, which have already been well received by many FS PBX users. The current faxing solution has proven itself in real-world use, processing 15,000–30,000 fax pages per month reliably.

Overall, this release makes faxing in FS PBX more stable, easier to troubleshoot, and better suited for high-volume production environments.
