IVR with no Volum

Hello everyone,
I am attempting to set up a simple IVR on 4.2.5 but I seem to have an issue with playback/volume.

Here's what I have so far (on the gui):
First I record a simple greeting and I verify that it can plaback in the recordings screen. - All good.
Then I create an IVR with an extension of 1000, give it two options "1" pointing to extensions 101
I set the exit action to extension 201
I set the destination action for the DID to "1000 IVR Greeting"

Now the problem is that when I call in to the PBX from an outside phone. I get no sound, just background static, for about a second and then it rings extension 201. If I try pressing option 1 before it rings extension 201: it still goes to 201.

At first I thought the volume might just be low, and I can't hear the recording, but I've also tried changing the greeting to a tone sequence as well as having it "say: Greetings" to no avail.

If someone could please point me in the right direction, I'd greatly appreciate it.
