hello experts,
I have installed FusionPBX and created a domain for my first client.
Inbound calls work, but I cant get outbound calls to work. - I have attached a sngrep trace, that I hope will help.
The Extension I am using is 5001@jesjo.co.za

This is what I get if I grep for my gateway (Bizvoip_Jesjo) in the /var/log/freeswitch/freeswitch.log file:
17772f80-f2d2-4337-aeb5-03e3d79aa624 Dialplan: sofia/internal/5001@jesjo.co.za parsing [jesjo.co.za->Bizvoip_Jesjo.10d] continue=false
17772f80-f2d2-4337-aeb5-03e3d79aa624 Dialplan: sofia/internal/5001@jesjo.co.za Regex (PASS) [Bizvoip_Jesjo.10d] ${user_exists}(false) =~ /false/ break=on-false
17772f80-f2d2-4337-aeb5-03e3d79aa624 Dialplan: sofia/internal/5001@jesjo.co.za Regex (PASS) [Bizvoip_Jesjo.10d] destination_number(0744344337) =~ /^(\d{10})$/ break=on-false

I configured my outbound route as per attached file

It is like the outbound route never connects to the trunk provider.
Any help appreciated.

Regards,
Leslie

You are sending it to the provider and I see a REJECT in one of the cases. It could be as simple as an incorrect format of the number. You are passing 10 digits and they might expect 11 digits or +1. I would read their docs first. Otherwise, study the REJECT response and see if there is additional information as to why they rejected it. It's worth asking them too

Hi,
Thanks for the replies guys.
The trunk is fine - inbound calls are working.

I have tried different number formats in the outbound connection.

Unfortunately, my client needs their phones working, so I have had to remove fusionpbx. Hopefully I will be able to use it in the future again.

Leslie

The trunks don't always work the same way for inbound and outbound calls. In my experience, every new trunk needs to be fine-tuned separately for inbound and outbound calls. It is very common for calls to work one way but not the other.

Good luck with your endeavors!

Have you set all extensions to have CID name and CID number? You do need these set for outbound calls
