I'm sure that for many here, getting BLF keys and DND presence to work hasn't been an issue. But for me I've been doing battle with it for some time to get it to work with Grandstream GXP/GRP phones and FusionPBX.
Good news though... I've FINALLY managed to get it working
. So as a note to my future self (or anyone else that needs the assist, because I couldn't find anything in the forums that worked!)
, here is what makes it work in 2025 with FusionPBX 5.3.7 Note: I'm not provisioning using FusionPBX, I'm using GDMS for this and firmware updates.
In GDMS portal in a model template set the following:
Account-Account x-SIP Settings-PUBLISH for Presence:ENABLED
Account-Account x-Feature Codes-Enable Local Call Features:ENABLED
Settings-Programmable Keys-Enable Virtual Multi-Purpose Keys:ENABLED
Then create the "BLF" keys you are wanting. The key setting here though is that the Mode must be "Presence Watcher" not BLF or DND.
If you are using provisioning templates then you'll need to check https://config.gdms.cloud/template for the P codes,but these ones worked for the models we have:
Publish for Presence - 188=1
Enable Local Call Features - 191=1
Presence Watcher - 136(x)=2
