I am reviewing options for failover and looking to simplify our client setups.

Regarding the following:

DNS failover primary/secondar

Are there any gotcha's setting up a primary/secondary FusionPBX pair of servers? They will be in different data centers on different public IP addresses. They will be used for failover only, not for load balancing. FusionPBX default account will use DNS in addition to subaccounts. For syncing...

We use a similar setup of a CNAME for each client pointing to our primary URL however is there a reason why all clients cannot simply use the primary URL for provisioning?
 
You can use a single URL for all clients if you change the "http_domain_filter" default setting to "false"

By default, provision requests will only provide a config if the MAC is listed in the domain the requested URL for an added layer of security.
