Writing my own module / app

Hi,
I have been searching around for some documentation on creating a menu item style app to integrate into my fusion server.
So far I can tell they need certain files such as app_menu.php and app_config.php but I was wondering if this has been documented anywhere?
Any help would be appreciated.

I only found https://web.archive.org/web/2017060...ogy/fusionpbx-application-anatomy-part-1.html, however, it has never been continued, so I ended up copying some code from other modules.
