    Moving to bare metal

We started with and still have a lot of customers on our bare metal servers, each in an A/B hot spare configuration. There are some advantages for sure with bare metal but virtualization adds so much more flexibility. That said we recently had a bad experience with Proxmox running KVM machines...

    Paging dilemma

Update: The remote office only has two extensions, so I created a paging group under the dial plan manager (*724) that included the two remote extensions and the extension of the Algo at the main office. Works well so far.

    Fortinet Fortigate Firewalls

I'm not familiar with FortiGate specifically but usually this is a case of the NAT mapping timing out. I'd look to see if you can change any of the timeout values on UDP mappings, failing that decrease the time on your keep alive messages in the phone config, assuming you've enabled keep alive.

    URGENT 100% CPU

Sorry for all the questions it seems to track with what happened to us. The usual backup was scheduled in cron daily for 6:45 am and everything went sideways around 7:30 AM. I've stopped all backups, replication, etc. until I know for sure what happened. When did it happen to you? I'm hoping...

    URGENT 100% CPU

We moved the VM's to different servers and they stabilized. Funny thing is even after we migrated all the VMs the host was still stuck at 40% cpu but eventually after about four hours it to stabilized and is now at 2% utilization. Thanks for the insight! When you say backup to you mean a...

Extensions cannot make calls to the USA

Could be a codec mismatch. Sometimes a phone might have G722 at the top of its order and won't negotiate down or vice versa. Check the logs.

    URGENT 100% CPU

For anyone following this thread running on Proxmox our leading theory is now that Disk IO starved the VM's of CPU. We're not sure yet but it's explained in this thread from the Proxmox forums and It looks like it can be mitigated but not fixed. We defiantly observed this when restoring backups...

    URGENT 100% CPU

Hi everyone, We did a lot of troubleshooting steps (logs, network, io latency, etc) and decided to migrate the machines to a different server within the Proxmox cluster. This seems to have calmed down the CPU issue, but it's still rather mysterious why everything went high cpu. Most of our...

    Paging dilemma

Hi, I currently have a site with an Algo 8180 that pages through a speaker and also multicast to Yealink phones. I set up a speed dial button on everyone's desk that points to the Algo extension and everything works great. Problem; they added a remote site that they connect to to via PfSense...

    Is Pyfreebilling dead?

I was going to evaluate it but looking at the Git Hub page there hasn't been a commit in two years. Just wondering if anyone's still using it or if its gone extinct.

    Multi tenant question

Conversely I create a new gateway for each domain to my ASTPP box which acts as a billing and routing layer. I create a new gateway for each domain purely to separate their traffic for billing and reporting purposes.

    Hello from Kansas

This thread makes me sad. I came from the Asterisk/FreePBX world and I really think that Freeswitch/Fusion is a superior product, but the community is small and that's a big deal when your run into a critical issue that's got you stumped at 3:00 am. On the other hand I get that everyone has to...

    Web Operator Panel

Does anyone know of a good web based operator panel for Fusion PBX/Freeswitch? I want to migrate a customer but they're absolutely married to FOP2.
