On hold music whilst being transfered?

Can anyone point me to how to play on hold music to the caller whilst being transfered? (blind and/or attended)

    Prevent transfer to incoming call

Using snom 710 and 720 handsets. Each handset has one or more buttons configured as a "Line" For the circumstance where the handset is on a call, and another call is incoming or on hold on the other line. The user presses the transfer button, and the line button for the incoming call. The...

SOLVED Default call parking bridges calls

My repeated tests have failed to get two callers on a parking spot using my config above. I am however, able to transfer on to an incoming call via the line button.I suspect this is what my users are experiencing.

D785 - callparking and provisioning buttons

For parking, i have posted extensively in my adventures. With snom the BLF type works best.

    Snom 765

This is almost certainly a problem with the handset's configuration.

SOLVED Default call parking bridges calls

Where you able to tweak the config to avoid the situation?

SOLVED Default call parking bridges calls

Annoyingly this seems to have a race condition in the actual parking of the call. If two extensions park in to an empty slot they seem to be able to land them and customers talk to each other. I have no solution yet and am uncertain how atomic each dialplan stanza in freeswitch is

    Provisioning Template Variables

Sadly it doesnt seem that these are formally documented :(

    Provisioning Template Variables

Yup, i am using them. However I am after the "inbuilt" ones like those provided by the "Contacts" application.

    Provisioning Template Variables

Is there a document that describes all the variables available to provisioning templates? I can not find such a thing in the official documentation. Thus far all my templates have been based upon variables i have found in the provided templates. Im particularly interested in how "Contacts" are...

    Snom Provision Server

Once you have configured the domain in fusionpbx, you will also need to create an 'extension' and a 'device' which includes the device's model - fusionpbx isnt (currently) able to infer what the device is so it needs to know ahead of time (it would be possible to infer many devices based upon...

Freeswitch(fusionpbx) performancs on WMware ESX vs Proxmox

If youre running Debian KVM's, i would also recommend using the "cloud" linux kernel from backports (or actual buster). Google Cloud is KVM, so all its optimizations should be of benefit. https://packages.debian.org/stretch-backports/linux-image-cloud-amd64

Freeswitch(fusionpbx) performancs on WMware ESX vs Proxmox

Many of them are hardware dependent and YMMV. Saying that I do find that Proxmox is a bit thin on details like those above.

Freeswitch(fusionpbx) performancs on WMware ESX vs Proxmox

If there are other containers or vm's running, make sure you set the cpuunits appropriately so that the pbx gets priority over other things which are less time sensitive (i.e. file shares)

Freeswitch(fusionpbx) performancs on WMware ESX vs Proxmox

If you would need more than 8GB of RAM i would be surprised, 4GB is probably more than enough. I would lean towards 8 cores and see how that goes, although 4 is probably fine.

Freeswitch(fusionpbx) performancs on WMware ESX vs Proxmox

DigitalDaz are you running CentOS/RHEL in a container? You may need to set "vsyscall=emulate" in your proxmox kernel options. See also https://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=847154 and many other links that google will provide on the topic. Regarding performance, the Linux kernel...

Freeswitch(fusionpbx) performancs on WMware ESX vs Proxmox

Im not certain what youve experienced with 'leaky containers', but i have fusionpbx running in a container on proxmox and it runs perfectly. I have it on an atom C2550, with the container having just two cores, cpuunits=2048 (other containers are 1024) and just 2gb of ram. postgresql uses the...
