SOLVED Amazon AWS - New to FusionPBX/FreeSWITCH - One Way Audio Outbound - Inbound Issues

Hello all!

I am running FusionPBX 4.2.2

I am very new to FusionPBX and FreeSWITCH in general. My past experience is primarily with Asterisk and FreePBX, however, I recently had the need for a multi-tenant solution and came across FusionPBX and have been very impressed so far.

I just got my first setup going however, I am experiencing one way audio with outbound calls, which spells out some sort of NAT issue I'm sure -- I just don't know my way around the FusionPBX GUI and settings to know what to change and where I should address this. I read over the official documentation on this and unfortunately it wasn't clear to me on what exactly I should be looking for.

My FusionPBX is behind NAT with a public IP, hosted in AWS.

Would someone mind providing some assistance please?

While I'm at it, I'm also not receiving inbound calls. I've verified my IP is whitelisted with my carrier so that isn't the issue.. It seems like the PBX is denying the traffic, I'm just not sure what to do to correct it? Here is a snip of the logs when I place an inbound call, any input would be appreciated!

Ok I've got the inbound call issue, I added my carrier to the ACL and reloaded the ACL via SIP Status.. just learning my way around the GUI is all :)

However, I've got continued one way audio both inbound and outbound now at this time.

Any ideas?

Nevermind, the one way audio was solved following the documentation, go figure:

Static IP
FusionPBX is behind NAT and you have a static public IP address and you have phones on the same network and/or outside the network.

  • Set external_rtp_ip to autonat:xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx
  • Set external_sip_ip to autonat:xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx
  • If you don’t register a gateway to the carrier you may need to port forward SIP and RTP

Sorry for the pointless post, I'm looking forward to learning with this product though!

No, its good to have it here for others experiencing the same issues, I'll mark it solved though and mod the title slightly.

I am having an one way sound issue but only on a bria softphone all other phones are ok
