Audio Delay on Incoming Calls with Fanvil and FusionPBX

Hi everyone,

I’m experiencing an issue with FusionPBX and Fanvil X210/X5U phones (version 2). When a user picks up an incoming call, there’s a noticeable delay (2 to 8 seconds of dead air) before the audio starts. I’ve tried numerous configuration changes, but nothing has resolved the issue.

Interestingly, a Fanvil X210 (version 1) and a Yealink T57W connected to the same PBX work perfectly fine, with no delay.

I’ve replicated this behavior across three different sites, each with distinct network configurations. Has anyone encountered this issue before or found a solution?

Any help or insights would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks in advance.

You could check the phone's ptime. It needs to be set to 20 ms. On Cisco SPA this is represented as 0.020. I can't guarantee this is the answer but it is one of the things that can cause and issue. Another one is VAD - voice activity detection. Make sure to turn that off if you find a setting like it on Fanvil.

Hello,

Thank you for your suggestions.
By forcing the ptime, I think that calls are more stable (fewer gaps at the start of the call), but I still have calls with the same behavior. VAD was already disabled.
