Billsec not equal to record time

Hi,

Please help - we noticed that bill time (billsec) in CDR is not equal to recording time.
We sum call times - by billsec but now it looks that it is wrong?

Example:
  • Outbound call
  • Duration: 48sec
  • Billtime: 45sec
  • Record time: 5sec

Curious. May be a question for the FreeSWITCH mailing list tbh. I wouldn't be surprised if there's Early Media at play.

We diagnosed the problem..

We make calls via API (from our Web-based CRM application) - and FusionPBX is counting from "click" in application:
  1. User click in CRM - Phone starts ringing (starts counting)
  2. User pick-up the phone
  3. FusionPBX redirects call to receiver
  4. Waiting for answer
  5. 5 second call Ends :)
So 40 seconds from click to answer the phone..

We changed our billing time in CRM to record_seconds (from billsec)

I'm glad you worked it out, we see this quite a lot where early media is involved the recording will often have the ringing tone before the call is actually answered.
