fusion pbx db

Hello everyone,

I need to change extensions's password from a web app . will changing the passwords from fusionpbx db work ? if yes would that take an immediate effect on the extension?
I am sure to a certain degree that modifying database directly might not be the right solution but I can't afford the API license and honestly need few changes only.

I also found some posts here talking about curl module and some about freeswitch ESL. I would appreciate if you guys advise on the best approach as well

No reason why you cannot manipulate the db directly but then you have to expose the db too. Can't you create yourself a little restful api yourself?
