Hostname

Ok, so easy one here for someone who knows, after fusion and freeswitch are installed can you change the servers hostname ? if so does it affect the install as the ip will remain the same ?

Nah, you should be ok,

Just edit these two files:

/etc/hosts
/etc/hostname

Then reboot

Thanks daz, well i tried it and it seems to break psql for some reason ?

I would bet because the new hostname doesn't resolve.
Might need to restart the interface.

I'll bet he's deleted localhost, show us your hosts file.

Additional info. The hostname is also in these files - change with a text editor:

/etc/ssh/ssh_host_dsa_key.pub
/etc/ssh/ssh_host_ecdsa_key.pub
/etc/ssh/ssh_host_ed25519_key.pub
/etc/ssh/ssh_host_rsa_key.pub

I didnt remove localhost but everything went really wierd on the switch, put back how it was and rebooted its ok now. think i will just leave it as localhost lol....
