Hi,

I am using Fusion PBX version 4.5.10

When my IP phone which is registered to Fusion PBX makes an outbound call to an external number, Fusion responded with a SIP 183 Early media to my IP Phone.

Can anyone advise how i can configure Fusion PBX to respond with a SIP 180 instead ?

Thanks.

I think you have to slot an action of application: 'ring_ready' pretty early in the inbound routes. It will break anything that uses playback without an answer though, so make sure you test any ring_groups, IVRs, voicemails, etc.

I have to ask, what's the problem with early media?

Hi,

Thanks for your reply.

The issue is when my IP Phone makes a call out to a mobile phone through Fusion PBX, I could not hear the ring back tone.

IP Phone -> Fusion PBX -> Local Provider -> mobile phone

I understand that Fusion send SIP 183 during the ringing phase for the above call scenario.

If I can configure Fusion to send SIP 180, there will be local ring back on my IP Phone.

Oh right, yeh. I think you can also put: <action application="set" data="instant_ringback=true"/> in a route too. You may also have to set the ringback variable too, I can't remember exactly.
