Hello,

I have a problem with the newest Version of FusionPBX on Debian.

The error is on Freeswitch is 1.6.17-34 and Fusionpbx is 4.3.0.
"fax_result_text: 'The call dropped prematurely"

On an older System it works fine.
Freeswitch is 1.6.12-20 and Fusionpbx is 4.3.0

I have clone the old System and it works.
I have done an "apt-get upgrade" and a fusionpbx update (GUI).
After that, I have this error.

This two lines are only in the new vesion.

Is the new installation on a VM?

Fax settings are available from Adavanced -> Default Settings -> Fax and see the parameters relating to T38.

Don't forget to hit the reload button at the top right after you modify settings........

Hello,

yes, both Installation are on VM, and the other one works fine.

variable array fax_enable_t38_request=true True Send a T38 reinvite when a fax tone is detected.
variable array fax_enable_t38=true True Enable T.38

You mean this lines? I have Change fax_enable_t38_request=true from false, but without effect.

I don't have press Reload, but I have resetart the VM.

I don't have a solution in that case. Which time source is your new VM using? Is FS time synced with system time? You'll get better results if you install Fusion on bare metal rather than VM.
I've found the fax in Fusion is not very forgiving so I use XiVO as my office fax server. I installed XiVO desktop client to fax out which works well. Incoming faxes will be saved to a folder (ftp) as well as emailed out.

It takes 27 seconds before hang up. When I call with phone a have a fax-tone.

But what I don't understand is, that it don't work after update. It is possible, that freeswitch has a bug?

HI, i have the exact issue with the fax service T38, the older version fpbx 4.4 does not have.
Have you figured out the root cause issue ?
