Max Wait Time in Call Center Queues

Hello world,

I've read through Freeswitch and Fusion Docs as well as browse this forum including the helpful explanation here however I'm still having a hard time understanding why despite setting the "Max wait time" of a queue to 30 seconds callers on the queue spend over two minutes listening to music on hold before being transferred to the timeout destination. Any insight would be greatly appreciated, thanks!
