i tried to add it to an existing thread but it got missed so here we go.

i cannot get Caller id to work from the extension level. We send our calls to an asterisk Gateway first which we manage.

The first example of asterisk logs are below using my name and 4169070100 and +14169070100 (makes no difference) calling our fusionpbx. The second one is using my current pbx. How do i get rid of the FreeSWITCH instead of telephone number.

Is there anyone that could provide me a tip, as no matter what i do, even when i set the number on the gateway, I still get "freeSWITCH" as my outbound telephone number.

Please someone, as i am really stuck.

I don't have anything definitive, as I cannot replicate it myself. However that 'FreeSWITCH' string is set as the User Agent in the SIP profiles. Why that would be used instead of the effective caller ID, I have no idea.

I had restarted the gateways, flushed the cache, tried as many settings as i could find including changing caller id inbound from to true on advanced gateway settings, and the only thing left was a server reboot, and it worked. Thanks for replying as i was about to deep-six the whole project.
