Hi everyone,

Is anyone using OVH as hosting for Fusion? are you using VPS or a Dedicated Server

What is your experience with them.

Hi,

yes i'm using OVH, started off with two VPS servers but i found that i had latency issues i couldn't resolve with calls.

So switched over to two dedicated servers.

Never,

But I have replication setup and fail over so my clients would never notice if it did.

I've been using them for a couple years. Using a 2 GB RAM VPS running AMD Epyc CPUs. It's adequate for my small needs. Ping time is 30-35ms and my VoIP carrier has a POP pretty close to their Eastern US location. I just checked OVH's website and their US locations for their 2026 VPSs are all unavailable.

We have used them for close to 12 years now. Started with some VPS servers, but switched everything to dedicated bare metal as we grew.

Only had downtime once, and it was due to a cut fibre optic cable (outside their control) - lasted about 2 hours, and that was about 10 years ago.

Currently have servers with them in Ontario, Quebec, and one in the US.

Overall a very good experience.

I have used them, but I prefer using the ones where one can clean install via an iso over a VNC interface, so I am using Racknerd and used their black friday special to get cheap yearly rates. One has to open a ticket to get them to download and mount an iso for you, then, after installation, one can simply change the boot order back in the VNC interface. I started with Vultr, which is the most polished interface and completely self-serve as far as telling it where to download the iso from, but they are not the cheapest, and it's a war with them to get port 25 for a mail server. No problem with quality on Vultr, OVH, or Racknerd. I have no experience using dedicated hardware at any of them.
