Pickup Group is temperamental

Hi
We deployed our first fusionpbx about 2 Months ago now and its been running very well, but we seam to be having an issue with the *8 on the pickup groups we have use a few of the standard ones that were there but needed more so we just typed in a name the

Call Group
[/td]
[td]
orders
[/td]
the users are saying it hardly works and when it does its often so delayed that the clients are dropping the calls as they pick it up. Does anyone have any guidance here?
