Ok,

I just went back to this now and for some reason, it suddenly decided to work! I'm thinking its something about the order of the steps we took to try this originally so here is EXACTLY what I did.

  1. Went into the extensions menu and choose the extension that I wanted to enable follow me on.
  2. Clicked on call routing.
  3. Enabled follow me
  4. Entered my cell as the first number in the list with 0 delay and 25 timeout.
I then tested from another local and noticed that to my surprise my cell phone rang. However only my cell rang, not my local. My last step was to:
  1. Add my local extension number as the second entry in the list with 0 delay and 25 timeout.
Now my local extension and my cell phone ring. I have changed nothing since we last discussed this. My fpbx version is 4.4.3 (I know I'm behind) and my switch version is 1.8.5. I run on Debian 9.8.

Sorry I have no technical breakthrough but hopefully this helps.

Hi @bcmike just tested it. Still fails. When I test this, I am dialing from the outside into my DID.
If I only put my cell 1aaannxwwww in as the only item my extension goes direct to vm. If I add my extension 1522 as the second item it rings my extension only. We are on the latest codebase.

still getting the errors in the log as previously reported. Noone has even looked at the bug report I filed (we have paid support).

still stumped here.

many thanks for testing it on your end.

Leon

My understanding is that Mark just completely rewrote follow me so you may want to upgrade and retry.

I'm talking about this latest as in very latest, updated this weekend just gone.

Also, that is a buggy version of freeswitch you have.

I tested slightly differently, as in I tested by dialing from another local to my local, however I just tested dialing in to my DID and its still worked.

I'm by no means an expert but if you want another pair of eyes to look at your config you can contact me at: mike at techconsulting dot ca .

If this is correct I think that you're already at the latest FS:

I think it was version 1.8.5 that was buggy. I believe he was urging you to upgrade to the latest fusion pbx version as there was some work done on it very recently.

When I set follow me ENABLED it only will outdial it seems no matter what order I have in the follow me list it now always dials my cell. If I remove the cell and just have my local ext then it rings (local)

Heres a screenshot of whats going on when I dial in; ignore the first entry thats a valid call center call.
1522 did NOT ring only the cell phone and when I rejected the call on the cell. it would eventually start ringing again.

Re-save the follow me that are active as this will clear out the extension dial string that is no longer used for follow me. Then go to Menu -> Status -> SIP Status and press the flush cache button. Second if its really important to you put a bug report in a ticket at www.fusionpbx.com. If you do then provide details like version of FusionPBX and FreeSWITCH.

@markjcrane et al
Ok I think here is the issue. I went into the basement where I have a GS GXP2170 and tested and that phone rings as does the external number.
It seems none of my soft phones (zoiper, GSWave) will ring. I tried what you suggested as well and still performs like this. I have had a bug report open for weeks and noone has touched it. I will update it with the latest stats. I can provide a pcap if necessary. Please let me know
many thanks leon
