RING GROUP - FOLLOW ME

I have an inbound DID pointed to a Ring Group 601. That ring group has 3 extensions. 101, 102 and 103. 101 has follow me set up to their cell phone. If I dial the 101 ext # directly it rings his sip device and his cell phone like it should. But when I call the DID, it only rings the sip device and not the cell phone. It never uses the follow me when coming from a ring group.

I saw some posts about this and it said to change the strategy to enterprise so that each leg would use its own thread. I did this but with the same results

ANy ideas? I need the follow me to work on the ext when the ring group is dialed from outside/

I would try changing strategy to simultaneous.
 
Thank you for the suggestion. Neither simultaneou nor enterprise will ring the follow me setting when coming from a ring group. If I dial the extension directly it will ring the follow me

Not sure, just tried it on my system it was working great.
 
Just to clarify - Using real EXT #'s.

Ext 102 has follow me set up . It will follow me if I call the ext directly

It will not go to follow me if coming from a ring group.

Please see attached images

THe third image shows ACTIVE calls and shows ext 101 and 102 ringing but never shows the cell ringing

Hi @Andrew Byrd , i am also still facing the same issue, exactly like you said. Not with ring groups but with call centers queues.
Workaround i am using at this moment is dial string. Previous versions of Fusionpbx used to update the dial string once follow me is enabled. New version does not do it due to some vulnerabilities.
I made some changes in script associated with the extensions. Now it is writing the dial string like previous version. Helped me in my situation.

I discovered that follow me was NOT set to true so I set to true and enterprise. The only issue with this set up is if that extension turns on DND on their phone, it will still ring the follow me group. When DND is turned on the phone, I need nothing to ring - not the phone nor the follow me numbers
 
Andrew, thank you for posting this. I had a similar problem. Setting strategy to 'enterprise' solve the problem.
 
It works for me with Enterprise,
With simultaneous, I have the same issue.
also please try to enable this one if you have it in Ring Group.
