Ring group routing

I have found a peculiar issue. I have a ring group, and as destinations i have other ring groups, i have found that when the parent ring group gets hit, it rings both of the destination ring groups, but if one of those ring groups have no registered extensions it immediately goes to that ring group's timeout destination. Is nesting ring groups not supported, or do i have something setup wrong, I want to avoid that behaviour if possible.

Nested ring groups as described isn't the best way to route things. A ring group should be a single group of extensions, not other ring groups.
