I have 2 phones, call them "left" & "right".

I have 1 extension configured on button 2 of each of these phones, lets call that extension 100.

I have my external DID pointing to extension 100 via "Dialplan->Destinations".

Here is my problem:

When a call comes it, it rings at both extensions. When I answer that call on phone "left" and then put it on hold, I would like to then be able to pickup that call on phone "right", but that is currently not a possibility. When I click button 2 on the "right" phone, I get an outgoing line.

Does anybody know what I am doing wrong?

we use call park to accomplish this. put the call in a park (programmed in a memory key on phone) , and pick up on the other phone.

Call park is how we are also currently handling it. I was just hoping somebody could give me a better way.

Been down the "shared line" rabbit hole multiple times.... Call park is the better way.
