I would like to suggest an enhancement regarding the configuration of a SIP trunk with an endpoint gateway without SIP registration in FusionPBX.
Currently, when the gateway is configured without registration, FusionPBX does not provide a clear status indicator to show whether the SIP trunk is UP/reachable. To verify the status, we have to access the FreeSWITCH CLI and manually check the gateway status and the responses received from FreeSWITCH.
From a technical perspective, FreeSWITCH can provide gateway status information such as UP, DOWN, or N/A through the Sofia CLI commands. It would therefore be useful to expose this information directly in the FusionPBX → Accounts → Gateways module.
Could you consider adding a gateway status indicator for non-registered SIP gateways in a future release? For example:
- UP – SIP endpoint is reachable/responding.
- DOWN – SIP endpoint is not reachable or not responding.

N/A – Status cannot be determined.
This would make monitoring SIP trunks much easier and eliminate the need to access the FreeSWITCH CLI just to verify the link status.
