Hi

I have set up a test scheduled announcement but either I am doing something wrong or it's not working

Set the time for a few minutes from now, created a recording and set my test extension, but no call is received and under "runs" I see 0 so it does not look like it has tried to run this?

I have enabled this in default settings but nothing appears to happen. Am I overlooking something?

I already have clients who tried it; it confirmed it works for them. The default setting may be cached for an hour after you change it. Wait a little bit and try to schedule another call.

You can also navigate to /horizon page and see under Completed jobs if the Scheduled Announcement job is being executed

thanks - checked the horizon page and saw it was running. Set a new schedule and working now. Must have been the caching thing that cleared.

You can post this reply on the forum:

If scheduled announcements are not working, first verify that the scheduled job is enabled and running correctly. Also check the server timezone, FreeSWITCH timezone settings, and the scheduled announcement logs for any missed or skipped events. Time synchronization issues are a common cause of scheduled tasks not triggering as expected.

For organizations that need a simpler way to manage recurring announcements, customer flow, or appointment traffic, solutions like QWaiting can help by combining queue management, appointment scheduling, and automated customer notifications in one platform. This can reduce reliance on custom PBX scheduling for certain operational announcements.

This keeps the response relevant to the PBX discussion while mentioning QWaiting naturally.
