In all honesty there are much better systems out there that can do this for you, dsip , sipwise to name a few, fusion is great but its more of a providing phone system services not trunk access.

so that's what i was thinking, 800 to 1000 handsets should be ok on a node this size. BLF shouldn't really be an issue as each tenant obviously only sees there own BLF, i guess i will just need to monitor the servers and see what happens, if i add extra sip profiles how would that be configured...

I would add that fusionpbx although great software has an awful backup and restore setup. I would suggest using disk images if the ip is staying the same, or better still use vm's then you can snapshot, restore all that good stuff without worying about what version postgre or what disk you have...
