Kudos for this. Took me all of 10 minutes to set up a test ai agent to answer calls.

Biggest issue in our environment and currency would be the cost. I made 3 minutes of test calls which cost me $0.5. Extrapolated to an hour that is $10. That is well above the hourly rate to employ someone here to answer calls. Of course that comparison only applies partly because you may only get 2 hours of calls a day and pay for that whereas you would pay someone for a full day or a full month so it's not as black and white. Either way - another great feature to at least be able to offer customers.

AI is expensive, but clients want it. Since this feature is so popular and clients want to pay for it, we decided to introduce it in FS PBX to make things easier. When I have time, I'll post a full video tutorial on YouTube.

One of my personal clients said he would rather pay $500 for an AI agent than lose a sale that could bring in $1000 if his team is too busy answering other calls. For some clients, a missed call means a lost deal because they'll dial a competitor instead of waiting for a callback. But an AI agent can collect enough info and potentially involve the right department right away, instead of waiting for the receptionist to free up.
