Not sure why incoming faxes are failing. I can see that the system is attempting to receive the fax under active calls, but it ultimately fails.
I have the fax configured the same way as on FusionPBX, where it is working without any issues. I also matched the default settings from FusionPBX onto FS, but it’s still not working. Am I missing something?
FYI, the fax traffic is coming from VoIP.ms. We have also tested from multiple copper lines and RingCentral, with the same result.
In my experience (and I do A LOT of incoming faxing) ecm correction actually creates more issues.
I usually keep it at False. @dbz195 are all the faxes getting the error code 49? or just some? If you click on the log, what do you see in the "Duration" field?
Are incoming calls working well, or do you have dropped calls issues by any chance?
@dbz195 Inbound fax is handled directly by a Freeswitch module. There isn't much difference between FusionPBX and FS PBX. This is likely a misconfiguration issue. Our defaults should've worked. If you changed something, there is a chance of a misconfiguration, but it could also be on the SIP profile end or due to a codec negotiation issue. SNGREP or FS_CLI can shine some light on what's happening.
We have clients that send and receive 15-30K faxes a month. If you get stuck, you can also reach out to support for help. We are always here
