Limit Max extension setting not working

How this settings is supposed to work?

For example: I've set the limit max to 1, but still can make 2 or more outgoing calls at the same time. I think this setting should deny more than 1 concurrent outgoing call, right?

max is the amount of ext your allowed to make. you need to limit outbound calls

I'll explain with more details: I'm be creating an extension, where a customer will be using it as a SIP trunk; So, I need a way to limit the maximum concurrent calls when it using that trunk.

I've tried to limit using the 'limit max' setting, but no success. Any clues?
