Special Use Caller ID

Hey Guys,

I am looking to setup caller id for special outgoing calls, for example, if the office calls a staff member number on their cell, I'd like it to show "Emergency - Customer name" on the caller ID.

Is that a thing? Or am I just wishing on the stars?

You typically can’t control CNAM on outbound calls to a cell number.
You could possibly manipulate the number shown to match preset contact info in the cellphone contacts.

Wouldn’t be too hard if the quantity of staff members and customers are small

In your outbound route, do action | set | effective_caller_id_name=blah (or some variable like that, you can find the variables in the logs).
Would be easy to test against mobile.

I know most of my upstream will not honour caller ID name, so it's pointless for me.
