Yealink key to select outbound route?

Is there a way of pressing a key to select an outbound route then dialling a number?

I do have it set up as press 9 or 8 depending which route is required, but it means dialling from the call history is impossible because there's no preceding 9 or 8 in the call history.
Something like a BLF would be great, so it gives an indication of which route is selected.
I don't want to use separate domains for each route.
Single FusionPBX domain, multiple routes, multiple users needing to select routes.
I need to retain BLFs and transferring as normal.

Please help!!

The 'correct' way that Yealink expects you to do this is with Lines I would imagine. If there's a customer that is fielding calls for three different companies, we set:

Line 1: 2000,Company A
Line 2: 2001,Company B
Line 3: 2002,Company C

Then you can press the line key to start dialling out from that line, the call history is attached to the line the call came in on or went out of too. It also allows you to customise DSS keys to use specific lines or 'Line 0' which is whatever is the current active line. Client can flick between the lines with left and right arrow keys too.

We have done prefix matching (e.g ^(9\d{5,20})$ ) in the past and whilst it works, and mimics the older digital PBXs, the usability is a bit crap as you have found.

The actual DSS keys don't need to be on the screen if that's what you are referring to. It automatically adds a key for a line into a gap, but you can change it to whatever. Users would have to get used to switching left and right before making a call, but not insurmountable.
